PERSONALITY Often described as indignant by those who only care to look at her on the surface; in truth Tallia is fiercely loyal to her principles and her love for the world and it's people. Initially very reserved and civil, behind the walls she has built around her heart, Tallia is mischievous and bursting at the seems to bring joy to those around her. She is not one to let her trauma dictate how she treats others but rather extends empathy to those who are hurting, offering her shoulder at a moments notice. However Tallia is incredibly astute in reading the intentions of others and will put those in their place should they attempt to take advantage of her nature. She is not above culling those who dare incur her anger, be it for her own or another's sake.
biography Born in a village surrounded by dense forests and lush greenery and not even a day's travel from the Eldan Sanctum, Tallia was born to loving parents who instilled in her the love of the land and the desire to create with her own hands rather than be solely reliant on her innate magical abilities. Her father, one of the heads of the village council, ignited her love of music and thus began to teach her the discipline of the Composdutario. While he himself studied the art under the Almighty element, Tallia chose to one up her father and learn under the Healer's element.Tallia's mother on the other hand, was an incredible blacksmith and a prodigy engineer who crafted technological wonders throughout the village while incorporating nature, proving that technology and nature can coincide and prosper. Watching her mother as a child, Tallia was starstruck and made it her primary goal to be just like her mother in wanting the make people's lives just the tiniest bit better without sacrificing nature. With both her parents serving as guiding posts, her love of the sky came from time spent climbing the canopies of the trees to watch the clouds, the birds, the stars and the feeling of the wind fluttering through her wings.Alas, soon came her 16th summer and the destruction of her home at the hands of wandering humans. During the chaos and destruction, Tallia's parents sacrificed themselves to save their beloved daughter from the clutches of a human who had taken her by the wing. Their last message of love and a plea to live, Tallia ran as far as her legs could take her, before fever soon began to set in and forced her to take shelter in a cave. As infection that could prove fatal took root in her wing, Tallia made a choice to amputate two thirds of that wing in order to live with the knife her mother had forged for her as a birthday present. A blade she keeps close to her heart to this day. Once recovered, Tallia made her way into the wider world and over time would keep feelers out in case there were others who survived the massacre. However no others survived that day, leaving her as the sole survivor and arbiter of her village.

Early on the road, Tallia took to taking odd jobs as a blacksmith and mechanic to fund her travel while also purchasing books and tome to fuel her ambition to create. While in moments of need spiritual and emotional reprieve, she would weave songs and soon took to adding her Magla's signature to the Bard's codex; a secret register of Composdutarios across of Euchronia to preserve their history and shared magical music compositions. This codex can be found in every magic shop across the land, so long as you prove yourself safe with the knowledge. Tallia is the only known Composdutario whose discipline is that of the Healer, one who bleeds as she heals those around her via song.
Over the years, Tallia made connections to other Composdutarios and friends alike, forming a small band who travelled and performed in intimidating pubs that would deter the typical Sanctist but invite those who are both opened minded, and nefarious in intention. Years passed and Tallia found herself somewhat settling into a simple life in Grand Trad as an engineer who specialised in intricately delicate but vital parts for Gauntlet Runners. Her time as a Diva came at the behest of the Shadowguard who had learnt of her voice from various means and petitioned her help to raid a Noble's home by performing at the Royal Theatre by putting on a performance and keeping the suspect away from their home. Tallia jumped on the opportunity as this Noble was said to be running a trafficking run of young ladies of various lower-seen tribes and could not allow them to go unpunished. The only stipulation was that she designed her disguise that consisted of a prosthetic wing and a helm of gold, much like the helms worn by the Mustari wear as she is unable to control the tufts on her head and such features would expose her identity immediately. Even after the raid was complete and the Noble taken into custody, Tallia found an odd enjoyment taking to such a stage and continued performing as Gilded Songtress for many years, despite not once utilising her music magic.
The Composdutario(a combination of the words: "Composer", "Producer" + tario); is a long thought dead magical discipline, that takes the widely used but mundane concept of music magic and adds a level of complexity that; when not taught well can lead to the death of the Dutari (the term for an individual). Each note is it's own spell and requires prior knowledge of magical script and skill. Conceived during the age of the Mage King, it was later seen as a dangerous art as whatever magic discipline that formed its basis could lead to destruction through sound and thus banned by the Sanctifex.
The skill of the Composdutario, is not just contained within musical constraints. While it's main utility is for such, understanding how to manipulate sound itself can lead the Dutari to use it in countless ways. Such as silencing those around them to keep information safe (or to keep others from hearing one's "nightly activities"). As for a elemental affinities; Fire based Dutari's music invokes that of passion or anger. Healing based music can be just that; mass area of affect healing spells, ailments....or even curses/death. Outside of elemental affinity, a highly skilled Dutari can read the very frequencies of Magla itself, be it ambient, within an object or another person.
